Nicole (Wei-Tung) Ling

Nicole (Wei-Tung) Ling is a second year University of Toronto student majoring in Political Science with a minor in Digital Humanities. Originally from Taiwan, Nicole is currently serving as an independent journalist, political worker, and activist for anti-human rights violations around the globe and has worked on connecting frontliners in politically oppressed regions. She is the founder of Activist Without Borders, Culturedu fluent Non-Profit, Enfotrip international department and has worked for over ten independent journalism platforms. Nicole is co-executive director of Mayday Movement, volunteer manager for Bonnie Crombie 2023 Leadership campaign and vice chair of Toronto Centre Young Liberals, aiming to encourage youth political participation. Nicole is also interested in fintech & AI regulation and has worked on her startup business in legal regulation and co-led regulatory sandbox research group for partisan political parties in Taiwan. Nicole is the lead analyst for G7 research group and compliance analyst of G20 research group, she is confident to bring in new perspectives and keep pushing youth engagement in public affairs.
