Yara Idris

Yara Idris is a dedicated advocate, researcher, and policy analyst committed to fostering a more peaceful world. She is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science at the University of Ottawa and has held numerous positions in government and non-profit organizations. Yara is keen to explore the consequences of the climate crisis on defense and security, particularly for women and girls in conflict affected areas. She is determined to engage and empower young people in catalyzing positive change.
