Kati G Aloe is a University of Toronto undergrad studying History and Psychology. She has been involved in various international youth advocacy initiatives including the Stop Ecocide movement, the Amnesty international #WelcomeToCanada campaign fighting to end immigration detention in Canada, The Toronto Youth Councils campaign to increase access to vital mental health services that remain out of reach due to OHIPS lack of coverage, and as a board director shaping the expansion of the WUSC student refugee program furthered by the University of Toronto Students Union. She recently broke the glass ceiling as the youngest Female identifying person to serve as a representative in the Assembly of State Parties to the International Criminal Court through a Global affairs Canada, initiating the implementation of reforms that would improve the courts effectiveness in accounting for and defining crimes of Sexual and Gender Based Violence. In the last year Kati and a group of students founded a youth led not for profit entitled "Ceasefire for the Children" that has sought to advocate for increased investment by the University and City of Toronto in order to mitigate the international youth displacement crisis. Additionally she hopes to empower fellow youth to get involved in opening up sponsorship pathways to ensure youth are provided specific services and an immigration access pathways that considers the unique limitations of adolescence.
