Kélicia Massala, a 23-year-old Information Technology Law master's student at the University of Montréal, is a passionate advocate for gender equality and representation. She founded Girl Up Québec in 2020 and served as its coalition leader, driving meaningful change. As the former president of UN Women at the University of Montreal during her undergraduate years, she tackled local and global gender equality issues. Her dedication earned her a spot at the 2019 Global Affairs Canada - Women's Day conference. Kélicia's advocacy focuses on international gender equality and representation. In 2022, she launched the annual Girl Up Quebec Festival, celebrating influential women driving positive change.

Recognizing her impact, she received the 2022 Girl Up Project Award from the UN Foundation. Her collaboration with Hershey Canada on #HERforSHE chocolate bars during International Women's Day further showcases her commitment to elevating women's visibility. Kélicia's journey is fueled by genuine passion, emphasizing her dedication to a world where every voice is heard, and equality prevails.
