Rosa Braico

Toronto, Ontario

Rosa Braico (she/her) born and raised in Toronto is a recent University of Toronto graduate where she majored in Urban Studies and Human Geography. A sustainable feminist approach to planning has been the focus of her degree. She has over 8 years of experience working with various not-for-profit organizations within Toronto that stemmed from high school as she graduated with a Certificate in Non-Profit work (SHSM). Rosa is an outspoken advocate for the disenfranchised, and her number one priority is making spaces more accessible for lower-income groups. In her spare time, Rosa volunteers with TTCriders, a transit advocacy organization that advocates for lower transit fares and campaigns for fully accessible TTC and Wheel-Trans services. A value that is very important to Rosa is creating equitable meaningful engagement for youth regarding public planning and urban design. Feminist Urbanism and creating cities for all has been a priority for Rosa and counties to implement it in her future career and studies.
