Gabriela Caribé Macedo Soares

Gabriela is a young Canadian Brazilian woman who has worked extensively to promote the feminist, queer and youth, peace and security agendas. A recent graduate from Simon Fraser University, she studied Political Science and French with a focus on International Security. During her studies she worked as a communications assistant for the CCYF and promoted feminist and LGBTQIA++ causes, one of her works being the #PrideAtHome events which she co-organized alongside the youth advisors. Later she went on to co-found the Canadian Coalition for Youth, Peace and Security, which aims to foster collaboration between young activists engaged in the UN's Youth, Peace and Security agenda.
