Nyamal Jack

My name is Nyamal Jack, a student at the University of Winnipeg and the oldest of five. My interests are heavily influenced by my love of community and my cultural pride. My cultural background is South Sudanese and Ethiopian. I have been working with Manitoba women for women as a youth leader for 2 years. I have loved spending my summers with other like minded youth. I have found comfort in the similar stories we share and the similar goals we hope to achieve. Apart from my culture I value education. A quote from one of my favorite books ``I am Malala '' by Malala Yousafzai says “education is neither eastern or western, it is human ''. I believe that everyone has something to teach the other and listening to others is the great tool to have in life.
